Kaiva Bridge or Composio
Checked , from each product's own docs and pricing pages.
Composio is an integration platform for AI agents: a catalogue of ready-made toolkits for more than 1,000 SaaS apps, with managed OAuth so each user connects their own accounts, served through one hosted MCP address or per-user session addresses from its SDK. Kaiva Bridge is a managed MCP cloud platform for the APIs, databases and documents you already have: point it at an OpenAPI spec, a database or files and get a live MCP server without writing code. Composio's pages describe no import from an OpenAPI spec. Choose Composio when your agent needs common SaaS apps such as Gmail, Slack or HubSpot for many users. Choose Kaiva Bridge when the source is your own API, database or documents.
Side by side
| What | Composio | Kaiva Bridge |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | ComposioAn integration platform for AI agents: ready-made tools, managed sign-in and execution across connected apps. Composio Connect is one hosted MCP server for your own AI client; its SDK gives each user session its own hosted MCP address; an MCP Gateway for enterprises puts managed toolkits and your own MCP servers behind one endpoint. | Kaiva BridgeA managed MCP cloud platform. You connect a source, Bridge builds the tools from it and serves the MCP server. |
| What it connects | ComposioA catalogue of prebuilt SaaS toolkits (its pages give from 1,000 to 1,633). No import from an OpenAPI spec is described. You can register your own remote MCP server as a custom toolkit (experimental, through the API, up to 500 tools, hosted by you) or write custom tools in the SDK, which run in your own process. | Kaiva BridgeREST APIs from an OpenAPI 3.x or Swagger 2.0 spec, a cURL command or a Postman collection (v2.0 or v2.1); GraphQL APIs (their queries); Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB and SQL Server databases (read-only); CSV spreadsheets; documents (PDF, Word, PNG, JPEG, text and Markdown); and existing remote MCP servers. |
| How you build a server | ComposioFor your own AI client, add connect.composio.dev/mcp as a connector and sign in, with no code. For an app you build, create a session with the Python or TypeScript SDK and read its MCP address. The older per-toolkit MCP server API is deprecated. | Kaiva BridgeConnect the source in the console, with the CLI (npx @kaiva/bridge push) or from your AI client through the Kaiva Bridge connector, then choose which tools to switch on. No server code to write. |
| How you run it | ComposioComposio hosts it: connect.composio.dev/mcp for personal use, or a per-session address over Streamable HTTP (POST only). A custom MCP server you add runs on your own infrastructure at a public HTTPS address. | Kaiva BridgeKaiva runs it. When you publish, the server is live at an address on api.kaiv.ai, over Streamable HTTP. |
| Sign-in for AI clients | ComposioComposio Connect signs you in through the browser or takes an API key header; session addresses take a Composio project key. Each user connects their own app accounts through a hosted Connect Link, with Composio-managed OAuth apps by default or your own OAuth app, API key or token. | Kaiva BridgeOAuth 2.1 sign-in with a Kaiva account on every plan, so Claude and ChatGPT need no key, or a gateway key limited to the servers you pick. |
| API credentials | ComposioStored by Composio, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, redacted in responses and added on the server side when a tool runs. You can pass your own tokens at execution time instead; customer-managed keys are an Enterprise option. | Kaiva BridgeStored encrypted by Bridge, added to each call on the server side and never sent to the AI client. |
| Pricing | ComposioHobby: free, no card, 100,000 tool calls and 50,000 trigger events a month, paused at the limit. Pro: $29 a month including $29 of usage, then $0.0003 per tool call. Calls through Composio-managed OAuth apps count only up to 20,000 of the free calls. Enterprise: custom. | Kaiva BridgeFree: 10 servers and 200,000 tool calls a month, no card. Pro: $19 a month for unlimited servers and 1,000,000 tool calls, then $0.04 per 1,000 calls. Enterprise by contract. |
| Open source | ComposioThe SDKs, CLI and provider adapters are open source (MIT). Self-hosting the platform is an Enterprise arrangement. | Kaiva BridgeThe CLI is open source (MIT). The platform is not. |
| Where it runs | ComposioComposio's cloud by default. A private VPC or self-hosted deployment is an Enterprise arrangement. | Kaiva BridgeKaiva's managed cloud. A source must be reachable on the public internet: Bridge refuses private and internal addresses. |
| Team features | Composio3 team members on Hobby and unlimited on Pro; tool execution logs kept for up to one year on every plan; SSO and SCIM on Enterprise; SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. | Kaiva BridgeOn every plan, per-tool switches and a log of every call. On Pro, SSO, approval before chosen calls and alerts. |
Which to choose
Choose Composio if
- Your agent needs common SaaS apps (Gmail, Slack, GitHub, HubSpot and many more) ready-made, rather than an API of your own.
- Your app's users each connect their own accounts, and you want consent, token storage and refresh handled per user, with managed OAuth apps so you can start without registering your own.
- You want one MCP address in your own Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor that reaches many SaaS apps, including several accounts for the same app.
- Your agent should react to events in connected apps through triggers.
- You need a self-hosted or VPC deployment, or customer-managed keys, as an enterprise.
Choose Kaiva Bridge if
- The source is your own REST or GraphQL API, a Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB or SQL Server database, a spreadsheet or documents, and you want it as MCP tools without writing or hosting a server.
- Your API has no OpenAPI spec, but you have a cURL command or a Postman collection.
- You want to choose, tool by tool, what your AI client sees from each source, at an address your team shares.
- You want database tools that cannot change data: every query runs in a read-only transaction.
- You want a coding agent to create a server from a public API spec with no account (the spec's GET operations, for 72 hours), and claim it into your workspace later.
Using both
They cover different sources, so a team can use both: Composio for SaaS apps such as Gmail or Slack, and Kaiva Bridge for its own API, database or documents. Composio's Custom MCP (experimental) can also register a Bridge server's address as a custom toolkit.
Questions
- Can Composio turn my own API into MCP tools?
- Composio's pages describe no import from an OpenAPI spec. You can register your own remote MCP server as a custom toolkit (experimental, through the API, up to 500 tools), which you host yourself, or write custom tools in the SDK, which run in your own process and are not served over a session's MCP address. Kaiva Bridge builds the MCP server from the spec, a cURL command or a Postman collection.
- Is Composio free?
- Composio's Hobby plan is free, with 100,000 tool calls and 50,000 trigger events a month and 3 team members, and pauses at the limit. Pro is $29 a month including $29 of usage. Kaiva Bridge's Free plan includes 10 servers and 200,000 tool calls a month.
- What happened to Rube?
- Rube, Composio's earlier product, was discontinued on 16 May 2026, and Composio points its users to Composio For You, which offers the same through MCP and a CLI.
