Why is hosting free?

Running the server is the easy part and it gets you in the door. The work worth paying for is deciding what agents may do and being able to prove what they did.

How does the free tier compare?

50,000 requests a month, 3 servers, no card. Comparable hosted MCP platforms include between 1,000 and 20,000 free calls a month — most individual builders run on Kaiva Free indefinitely.

What counts as a request?

One tool call or resource read. Handshakes, tool listings, and blocked calls are not counted.

Can I keep data in my own network?

Yes — Enterprise can run in your own cloud account or on-prem, with SSO, SIEM streaming, and the security paperwork your team needs. Email [email protected] to set it up.

What happens at the free limit?

At the monthly limit, new calls return an upgrade prompt instead of failing silently. Nothing is deleted and no card is charged without an upgrade.
